Is This Real?

Via Reuters:

Soldiers totally fail to understand the concept of the hat…

I still can’t believe Reuters has their story straight on this one, but if they do, this doesn’t reflect well on the Glorious People’s Liberation Army.

UPDATE: Okay, now I realize that the photo caption is the part that’s supposed to be taken seriously: “Recruits stand still as they balance caps on their heads during training in southwest China’s Chongqing municipality January 9, 2007.”

  1. I do believe this is just a joke from one of the Reuters bloggers.
Holding/balancing their hats like that they are training to stay straight.

  2. Yeah, that threw me at first. When I think caption contests, I don’t think Reuters.
