You're right! I'm starting to get the feeling I'm turning a big dyslexic. Let me clarify what I meant. The China page starts off with a summary, not a history. That's all I would expect on the first page along with links to other pages.

I expected the page on China to go a little into the current and past history, then give links to pages with more specific information.

That almost sounds like more of Wikipedia, not Wikitravel, thing.

Perhaps a laowai-to-be specific page is in order. Gleaning the knowledge from all the laowai blogs and of course the nuggets of wisdom passed through the bowels of TalkTalkChina.

It's a pretty decent site and for the first time I added my two cents to the wiki. A little knowledge I picked up trying to exchange traveller's checks. The only complaint I have is that the China page is far too large. It really should be broken up into smaller pages by topic. I expected the page on China to go a little into the current and past history, then give links to pages with more specific information.
